Hi I'm using JRebel 2.2.1 inside eclipse Build id: 20090920-1017 (I think its 3.5.1 ganymede). Within wtp I configured tomcat 5.5.27. And I run this on mac leopard java 1.5.0_20-141.
I often experience a sudden death of tomcat without stacktrace, no messages nada. In a development I do accept this for a few times a day, but it happens quite (too) often to experience the benefit's for jrebel. I have the feeling it happens when I hit the server too early after a change, but that's my intuition and I'm not a woman.

Oh and also another question where do I specify the plugin options like:
-Drebel.wicket_plugin=true is that in the vm args of the lunch configuration?

Maybe you can find a hs-err-pid file lurking somewhere? This is usually dumped when nothing else is. First reaction is that you're running out of permgen space. Add -XX:MaxPermSize=128M (ore more if needed) to the VM arguments of Tomcat.

Yeah, -Drebel.wicket_plugin=true should go the the VM arguments of the launch configuration.
